On Thursday afternoon, one of our clients, Instron, got in touch with us regarding a damaged data link in their building that caused their internet connection to be disabled. It was a fibre optic cable that requires specialist repairs. The following morning at 8 am, one of our engineers Adam, partnered with his apprentice Jessie, was on-site to repair and test the data link.
Jessie is currently completing his level 3 electrical apprenticeship, and although not doing a data qualification, Jessie was keen to learn and take part in the job. Jessie is learning under the guidance of our experienced and knowledgeable engineer Adam who showed him how to complete the job correctly and to a high standard. Jessie completed the repair with Adam on his first try!
Whilst carrying out the work, another related job became apparent that our engineer-apprentice duo quickly completed for our client.
